He is one of the core team of anaesthesiologists involved in the perioperative and intensive care management of liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgical patients. He finished his undergraduate training at Madras medical college, followed by Masters degree in anaesthesia at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, one of the premier institutions in the country. After doing senior residency at PGIMER, he was part of the team that took over the medical ICU at the Chettinad Hospitals and Research Institute, Chennai. He is a Diplomate of National board of examinations in the field of Anaesthesia.
He has completed the European Degree in Intensive Care Medicine(EDIC) which defines the standard of Critical care management as set by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine. Over the last four years he has been with Prof Rela’s team and is involved in the routine perioperative and critical care management of paediatric and adult liver transplant recipients, surgical hepatobiliary and critically ill chronic liver disease patients.
His special interests include critical care management, transplant, vascular and paediatric anesthesia.
