Training: Medical training from JIPMER, Pondicherry. Completed training in General surgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Moved to the UK where he acquired specialist training in HPB surgery & Transplantation at units in Leeds and Newcastle from 2004 to 2011. Completed his PhD in Transplant biology during this period. Joined the unit as Senior Consultant Surgeon in 2012.
Current clinical interests: Liver transplantation, hepatocellular carcinoma, hilar cholangiocarcinoma,
Current research interests: Mechanics of liver regeneration, improving outcomes in liver transplantation
